Restore Past Glory,Kwande People Advised President of the Association of Local Governments in Nigeria, ALGON,Mr. Baver Dzeremo, has called on indigenes of Kwande local government area, in Plateau State to work hard and restore past glory of the area. Dzeremo spoke in Adikpo, headquarters of the council area, during a reception organised for him by the Kwande traditional council, at the VIP Guest House, Adikpo. His charge came just as Interim Administrator of the area, Mr. Hanior Henda, total peace has returned to the local government area and that staff have resumed the collection of revenue in all the markets in the area. The ALGON President in a speech at the occasion, had noted that Kwande, which he described as the cradle of Tiv land, had distinguished itself in the areas of education, culture, sports commerce and industry adding that these are legacies that must be maintained. He expressed happiness that peace has returned to the area and that the people of Kwande are making representations before the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by the state government to probe the political crises in Kwande and Ukum council areas.
