Adamawa Fans Savour Coke FA Cup Delight Jimeta Temporary Stadium, venue of the round of 16, first leg encounter between Adamawa United and Rangers International FC of Enugu recorded an unprecedented turn-out of spectators who trooped to the stadium to savour exciting moments in the ongoing 2004 Coca-Cola sponsored FA Cup. Despite playing on a working day of the week, tickets fixed for N100, N150, and N200 were sold out as at 2.00pm on the day of the match, with the State FA smiling to the bank with an appreciable amount realised from the gate-takings just like their counterparts during the Makwada versus Julius Berger second leg encounter decided at the Numan Township Stadium. Undaunted with the hike in gate fee, fans still thronged the stadium, considering the calibre of teams on parade and most especially, the excitement of watching Rangers International, a premier league side at close range. Overwhelmed by the large turnout of spectators, Adamawa State FA Secretary, Umar Nekendawiri said "my initial scepticism whether soccer fans in the state and environs would part with the gate fee has been subdued as the turn out has confirmed that there are soccer loving fans in and around the state who are thirsty for top flight soccer action."
