Rosabel Leo Burnett Appoints Directors, Promotes Staff
In a revolutionary move that is envisioned to propel the agency to the next epoch, the Rosabel Leo Burnett Group, Nigerian affiliate of Leo Burnett Worldwide (LBW), has announced the appointment of three of its longstanding employees as Executive Directors. They are Messrs Tunji Abioye, Charles Eze and Oluremi Raji.
Tunji Abioye was promoted Executive Director (Client Service). He holds a B.A. English (Second Class Upper) from Obafemi Awolowo University, IleIfe and a Master's Degree in Managerial Psychology from University of Ibadan. He joined Rosabel Advertising Limited in March 1994 as an Account Executive. He was until his elevation an Associate Director (Client Service). A winner of several awards (including the prestigious Rosabel Staffer of the Year - 1995), he has managed and still oversees the initiation, coordination and execution of marketing communication drives for some of Nigeria's most vibrant brands, including First Bank/Western Union, Tom Tom, Toyota Avensis, Bournvita, Access Bank, Oando, First Trustees, Mobil, etc. Tunji has attended several local and foreign marketing training programmes. A member of Lagos Country Club, Ikeja, he is married with two children.
Charles Eze, a 1988 graduate of Yaba College of Technology, became Executive Director (Creative). His over 15 years advertising career has taken him to a number of agencies in the land. He joined Rosabel in September 1993 as an Art Director. Prior to his new appointment, he was Associate Director (Creative) in the agency.
The myriads of accounts that Mazi Charles has helped to mould over the years include First Bank, Gold Circle Condom, Cadbury's array of brands (Bournvita, Tom Tom, Chocolate Eclairs & the Knorr range), Dunlop Tyres, Seaman's Schnapps, Afprint Elegance Ankara, Gordon's Spark and Econet (now V- Mobile). He also parades an array of academic and industry awards in his kitty. A married man with three children, Charles has undergone several training programmes at Leo Burnett London and South Africa. He is a member of the Rotary Club.
Oluremi Raji joined Rosabel in 1993 as a Financial Accountant, having garnered accounting/auditing experience for eight years in a couple of other companies. In quick succession, he moved up the management ladder to become Associate Director (Finance) and assume full responsibility for the finance and administrative functions of the emergent Rosabel Group. A holder of the prestigious MBA Marketing degree of University of Lagos, Mr. Raji is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and also holds membership of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, the Nigerian Institute of Management and Finance Committee of the AAPN. A multiple award winner, Mr. Raji's new appointment as Executive Director (Finance) empowers him to sit on the Board of the agency's three subsidiaries namely Starcom Media Ltd., Edison Ross Ltd. and Leo Direct. He is married with children
Additionally, some other employees of the agency have been promoted in a bid to reward excellence and empower the workforce to assume greater responsibilities. The benefciaries are the duo of Stanley Salami and Uzoma Ofong as Group Head Account Planning and Client Service respectively; Abiodun Adefioye and Bestman Nze as Manager, Client Service; Jesse Adeniji as Manager (Creative) while the trio of Ade Aladeyelu, Bayo Adewole and Bunmi Akinrimisi become Senior Executive (Client Service).
All the promotions take immediate effect.
