Senate 'll Pass New Labour Bill- Albishir From Yakubu Musa in Kano Senate Minority Leader, Sanator Usman Albishir, has said the upper chamber of the National Assembly will pass the new labor bill which is seen as a measure taken by the Federal Government to break the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC). Fielding questions from newsmen yesterday in Kano, Albishir noted that there was nothing wrong with decentralisation of labour. "I believe the senate will pass the bill as it is. As an opposition member I see no reason why I should not support the bill. Adams Oshiomole has been supporting Obasanjo and now if the president wants to disgrace him so be it I will not do anything to stop it, I will rather encourage it. The natural thing for the NLC is to be on the side of the ANPP but they decided to support the PDP." Speaking further, Albishir said the union should not be supported since the numerous industrial actions it embarked upon has never succeeded in stopping the government on what it decided to do, adding that " Nigerians always come out worse off after their strikes".
