Visa Applicants Protest at Dutch Embassy From Kingsley Nwezeh in Abuja Scores of travellers and visa applicants yesterday thronged the embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in protest delay over the issuance of transit Visa, and other visas to Nigerians traveling to Europe and America and the Netherlands. At the Gana Street, Abuja office of the embassy, the affected persons lamented the nonchalant attitude of the embassy officials even as a team of anti-riot policemen was deployed to the scene to avoid a breakdown of law and order. According to some of them who spoke with THISDAY, the embassy closed its Lagos office on August 11, while notifying all applicants and intending travelers to call at their new Abuja office yesterday where they were told that owing to the non-arrival of some equipment, the embassy could not process certain traveling papers.
