Globacom Gives 100 lines, Handsets to Immigration By Lola Adowoyin Glomobile Limited, yesterday donated 100 mobile telephone lines and handsets to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), to further emphasise its commitment and contribution to the Nigeria Project. The presentation took place at the office of the Comptroller in Lagos, where Globacom Chairman, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr. was represented by General Manager, Sales,Vimal Menon. Menon, at the presentation, said there is indeed a synergy between security and telecommunication, noting that efficient telecommunication service is an asset to the pool of a nation's security operation. He said "the job of the Service is highly dependent on instant, clear and effective communication, as it operates at the country's points of entry to ensure that traffic into and out of the country does not undermine the country's security and image."
