Adviser Tasks Council Chairmen Kogi From Yinka kolawole in Lokoja Twenty-one local government chairmen in Kogi State have been admonished to be alert to their responsibilities in order to be more result-oriented. Speaking with THISDAY on the need to mobilise local government chairmen to be result-oriented, Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftacy Affairs Hassan Salawu said all efforts would be geared toward making life more bearable for the people. Salawu who pledge his office assistance to improve the socio-economic condition of the rural dwellers said he would not relent in his efforts to boost the morale of council chairman. He remarked that only responsible government can bring life to their citizens socio-political and economic issues of the local councils shall be taking seriously. The special adviser commended Governor Ibrahim Idris, for his industrialisation efforts. He stressed that with the ongoing projects the state would become a mini mecca very soon.
