NUB International Bank Limited has assured customers and stakeholders that it will emerge stronger and bigger at the end of the financial sector reforms recently introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The bank, which has an impressive record of performance and a rising profile of service delivery, also expressed confidence in its strategies aimed at meeting the N25 billion new capital base requirement for banks in the country.
A statement by the bank's Head of Corporate Affairs Mr Aliu Akosile, said the bank has embarked on integrated marketing of its new investment portfolios in the areas of Oil and Gas, Construction, Power and Steel, Information Technology and Telecommunications as well as capital markets offerings.
"While it has not foreclosed the possibility of strategic alliance with equally healthy financial institutions, NUB International Bank Limited is prepared to accommodate serious investors, both private and institutional, so as to become a public liability company," Akoshile said.
He added "With a board that is composed of consummate bankers, seasoned administrators, distinguished public servants and eminent businessmen, the bank has carved a niche for itself as a courteous and professionally managed financial institution.
"This was attested to by the bank's appointment to collect government revenues for the Nigerian Customs Service and undertake the sale of JAMB and WAEC forms at its seventeen branches that are spread across the country.
"Due to its efficient management and dedicated staff, the bank has continued to record exceptional performance in its operating results with quantum growth in its balance sheet parameters.
"As a responsible corporate citizen, NUB International Bank Limited took the historic step as the first commercial bank to relocate its corporate head Office to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja since September 2001. And among other social responsibility commitments, the bank has undertaken the development of ECOWAS Park, a prime green area covering almost 30,000 square metres in Asokoro District of the FCT."
