Oba Pledges Support for Vmobile Lagos Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Salawu Oyefusi, has pledged support for Vmobile's effort to enhance its business activities in the town. The monarch made the promise when Vmobile officials led by the company's Head of Sales (Lagos Region) Umoh James, visited his palace. Oba Oyefusi said "Ikorodu community decided to extend hand of fellowship to Vmobile as one of the first GSM companies to provide service in Ikorodu." According to the monarch, "when the leading investors in Ikorodu are being counted in the future, we want to count Vmobile as one of the first and big investors in the town." He pledged to assist the company in conducting its business adding however that Vmobile should establish more outlets in Ikorodu, to generate employment for the residents. He said "the community has enough land to accommodate any level of expansion Vmobile may want to carry out here." The monarch advised Vmobile to consider opening more outlets in the town because of its strategic location and proximity to Lagos, the commercial never nerve of the country. Speaking earlier, the company's Head of Sales (Lagos Region) Imeh James, expressed appreciation to the monarch for the warm reception accorded the team and for the support of the people of Ikorodu for the company, stating that Vmobile has not had any major problem with the community since it commenced operation in the town three years ago.
