Skywave's Liquid Packaging Machine Arrives Nigerian Market
By Crusoe Osagie

In line with the drive of government to foster economic growth and development through the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs), Skywave Technology is introducing a fully automated, state of the art liquid packaging machine to the Nigerian market.

The machine, Dingli Automatic Liquid Packaging Machine, which is exclusively marketed in Nigeria by Skywave Technologies fuly packs liquids such as water, juices, soya milk, ice cream, sobo, kunu, and other qluids into very neat sachets without minimal human intervention.

According to the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company Otunba Tayo Ajayi the highly reduced human interaction which is as a result of the near 100 per cent automation of the machine makes its product output come without any contamination.

Ajayi said this is the reason why the machine conforms to the National Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) standard for liquid packaging.

Ajayi explained that the machines are well-suited for the Nigerian manufacturing environment and can be operated for 24 hours non-stop production.

"Dingli Automatic Liquid Packaging Machine is rugged and highly durable and as such can work continuously for 24 hours all of which make it highly suitable for manufacturers of liquid products in Nigeria," he said.

He said the machine was capable of turning out a minimum of 20,0009 sachets of drinks on a daily basis at very minimal production cost giving operators a wide range for profit maximisation.

"The project is a wealth-generating source one hand and it is a source of employment generation on the other hand. many people can be employed (both skilled and unskilled) to handle the day-to-day running of production activities as well as control, marketing and sales in the factory," he said.

He said the demand for water for instance, being inelastic in nature, and as such all living beings are potential customers, package water from their machines which is serene and pure will invariably command a huge market.

"This project is based on existing production system on ground and it has 95 per cent pay back on capital invested, within a period of six months. Production capacity can be increased by installing more machines," he said.
