Lagos Planners Elect New Executive Council The election of the new executive council members of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), Lagos State Chapter, took place on Tuesday, August17, 2004. A total of twenty one contestants paid sums ranging from N200 to N1000 to collect the application forms. Nine were disqualified for not meeting the cut off points stipulated for attendance at the institute's meetings held in the preceding year. Eventually eleven members vied for the available ten posts. The following were elected:- TPL Alhaji YUSUF Sulaiman Alabi - Chairman (a Fellow of the Institute); TPL Ayinde Toyin - Vice Chairman; TPL Dekolo Samuel O. - General Secretary; TPL Adeluola Adedayo Olufemi - Assistant General Secretary; TPL (Mrs.) Adewole Grace Foluke - Treasurer, TPL Owokade Emmanuel Adebola - Financial Secretary, TPL Adejumo Ayodele - Publicity Secretary; TPL Adeyanju Gabriel Adekunle - Assistant Publicity Secretary; TPL Akande J.
