ETB Collects NEPA Revenue Banking By Olugbuyiro Akinola In recognition to its fast expanding branch network, Equatorial Trust bank has been appointed to collect payments of bills for the National Electric power Authority (NEPA) for its residents of island and Festac areas of Lagos with effect from September 2004. In bid to assist NEPA to fully achieved its revenue generation of objectives, the bank, in a statement has asked all its branches to be involved in the collection. Under the arrangement, the bank will open an account tagged "Revenue collection" from NEPA customers and provide a desk for the NEPA staff in the bank halls. The bank will also provide customized teller for NEPA customers as they present their bills for payment and settlement. Customers in Festac, according to the statement, will pay their bills at either in trade fair or Alaba international Market branches. For those on the island, ETB Adeola Odeku branched is the place to pay their bills from September. This special arrangement with NEPA, the bank added, was in order to ease the stress normally associated with payment of NEPA bills at its offices. With the new arrangement, ETB will provide fast and efficient services. Managers of the designated branches have directed to ensure that they maintain and even surpass the standards already attained in similar public sector. Also, the bank has added two branches its springing networks located at lekki, and lkeja GRA.
