All States Trust Bank signs on Finacle
Stories by Emma Okonji
IT. Telecom Reporter, Lagos
As Finacle software continues to gain recognition in the banking
industry, All States Trust Bank has announced its interest to be part of the
banking software application by joining the growing list of other banks to sign
on the Finacle banking
application from Infosys, India.
Finacle is solely marketed and implemented in Nigeria by ExpertEdge
Software and Systems Limited, the software arm of IT conglomerate, Computer
Warehouse Group. Since its introduction to the Nigerian market about three
years ago, Finacle has recorded tremendous success in the banking industry.
Particularly noteworthy is the company’s
ability to implement the application in an average time of six months, the
shortest time on record in this region.
For All States, the application’s centralized
system and its ability to run on Oracle were some of the attributes that
endeared it to the bank.
The bank accepted the application software after
subjecting it to a tough selection process alongside with two other banking
applications software, before selecting Finacle, the bank said.
The decision was taken with due consideration of the
needs of the bank which includes a robust application, Internet enabled
facility and a centralized system of operation. It is also a true web based application,
which can manage huge transaction modules.
The technical support for the application is
impeccable with Expertedge running a full-fledged 24/7 Support centre at its
facilities.
The bank is currently in its implementation stage and
is expected to go live later this year. Other banks that are currently running
on Finacle include First Bank Plc, Oceanic
Bank, First Atlantic, Standard Trust bank, Lionbank, Kakawa Discount House,
Assurance Bank and Broadbank.
