From Charles Onyekamuo in Awka

The suspended members had in June, dragged the state chapter to an Ogidi High Court in the state, claiming that they were shut out from a special state executive meeting from where a substantive state chairman was to be selected.
The court had in July, restrained the acting chairman and secretary of the state chapter from shutting out the trio from future meetings, but the order was yesterday violated.

The communique, which was signed by the acting state chairman, Mr Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, and Publicity secretary, Mr Afam Ilounoh, directed the suspended members to appear before a seven-man disciplinary committee, headed by Chief Chris Orejekwe, state vice-chairman, South Zone, on August 31 at the sate party secretariat, Zik Avenue, Awka, by 11.00 a.m.
National vice/zonal chairman, PDP, South-east, Nze Ozichukwu .F. Chukwu had in an August 6, letter which he signed and copied the state governor, Dr. Chris Ngige, directed the acting chairman of the party to sack the former officers.
The letter, addressed to Chief Obi-Okoye titled: "Re.
