Also killed in the crash were two of his official drivers and two other unidentified persons who were travelling in another car that was involved in the accident. He was reportedly crushed to death last Sunday while on his way to attend a thanksgiving church service at Orerokpe in Okpe local government area of the state. Eye witness account stated that the accident occurred near Umutu town in Ukwuani local government area when his 504 official peugeot station wagon with registration number DTA 2207 had a head-on collision with an oncoming Mercedez Benz car at about 10am that morning. Four occupants of the car including two of his official drivers, Mr. Freedom Idama and Joseph Ebeje, were also killed in the crash while two other victims were yet to be identified.
