Ojo Elected New NBA President From Lilian Okenwa in Abuja Mr Bayo Ojo (SAN) last night emerged the new president of the Nigeria Bar Associa-tion (NBA) after a keenly contested election marking the end of this year's annual conference of the association. Ojo, who beats three other contestants; Abubakar Mahmud (SAN), J.B. Daudu (SAN) and Phillip Umeh, succeeds Mr Wole Olani-pekun (SAN). The new president and his predecessor are both from the Ilorin branch. Other officers elected were Odogiyon Adelanke Adetoyese, 1st Vice Presi-dent; Azura D.D, 2nd Vice President; Ama Ihuoma Golda, 3rd Vice President and Nimisore Walson-Jack, General Secretary. Also elected are Agwu-lonu E.J, Welfare Secretary; Okoye Aniche Bardh, Publicity Secretary; Aigban-gbe Edwards, Financial Secretary; Wodu Kemasodu, Legal Adviser and Mrs Bala Linda-Rose, Treasurer. The association also elected Mrs Akpunonu Ngozi-Flora, 1st Assistant Secre-tary; Adamu. Musa, Assistant Financial Secre-tary; Egwu Joe, Assistant Publicity Secretary and Tarfa Pauline, 2nd Assistant Secretary.
