Community Lauds Egwu on Reconciliation Ebonyi By Agha Ibiam Unwana Community in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has commended Govenor Sam Egwu, on recent move to reconcile individuals whose property were destroyed on May 3, 2003, after the House of Assembly election. Egwu, recently appointed two indigenes of the community, Professor I. A Eteng and Reverend Ude, as members of the reconciliatory committee to look into the remote causes of the mayhem, and proffer solution. In an eight-point communique released to THISDAY, the Unwana community re-states its commitment to take all necessary steps to cooperate with the reconcilatory committee and agencies of government at ensuring return of enduring peace. It also observed that the arrogance and intrasigence of the Nzuko Unwana Executive Council, as manifested in the purported adoption of the so-called Nzuko Unwana 2003 constitution, without regard to inputs, complaints contribution and protest by affiliated members of the union is most unfortunate, misleading, unacceptable, high-handed, and irrational, therefore null and void.
