Coca-Cola FA Cup Hits Q'Finals Coca-Cola FA Cup action resumes as the fire works of the quarterfinals stage of Nigeria most glamorous soccer competition lights up three cities across the country. The tournament which has continued to generate real soccer excitement will holds the first leg matches of the quarterfinals the on September 1st and 2nd on the "home " and "away" basis. According to the fixtures released by Nigerian Football Association (NFA), Rangers International will be playing against El-Kanemi FC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on the 1st. Meanwhile, Sharks will be playing Insurance FC at the Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt while Julius Berger will play against Sunshine of Akure at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta on the same day. However the only quarterfinals' match on 2nd September will be between Dolphin FC of Port Harcourt and Jigawa FC at the Liberation Stadium. The eight teams in the quarterfinals race have had to scale through three stages earlier; round of 64, round of 32 and round of 16. The monetary incentives that Coca-Cola Nigeria made available for all the teams at the different stages have been commended for boosting the financial standing of the football clubs. The teams in the quarterfinals will get N150,000 each for their efforts. It will be noted that Coca-Cola FA Cup tournament has registered an outstanding local flavour with the "home" and "away" format from the round of 16. The new format has according to soccer following, has created a platform for teams to play on their home grounds thus giving their local fans the opportunity to cheer their homeboys while watching real soccer action.
