Ogun, S/African Firm in Agric Project Pact

Ogun State Government and a South African firm SBT JuuL Africa have reached an agreement towards the development of the proposed agricultural cargo airport project, hotels and other tourism-related business in the State.
The Chief executive Director of the firm Mr. Trevor David Carelse Junl gave the indication while presenting a proposal for the cargo project execution to the State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and other top Government Officials at Oke-Igbehin, Government House, Abeokuta.
He was accompanied during the Official visit by the two of his Directors, Messrs Theovan Niekerk and Albert Awolaja (a South African based Nigerian Entrepreneur).
According to Juul, the team was in the State as a follow up to their investment trip of the Governor to South African where discussions were held on various projects.
He pointed out that the State has sustainable projects at hand coupled with conducive atmosphere for investors.
He described SBT Juul Africa as a project development group with over 40 years track record on project development, architecture and designs as well as engineering consulting.
He added that the group has registered its presence in 17 Countries and undertaken over 100 development projects in Africa.
While further describing the airport project as a laudable project, which would required returns on investment, Juul added that if given the go ahead, the project would be delivered by August 2007.
"It is a sustainable project and it will be executed in line with NEPAD objectives and goals, if an agreement is reached on the equity ratio, we will look for team of experts to handle the project; he said.
In his response, Governor Daniel thanked the investors
for expressing interest to partner with the State.
Daniel who said that Government would study the proposal and other terms with a view to determining the partnership, pointed out that private sector participation in the development of its projects would be explored at all times.
