The Edo State fruit juice processing factory
at Ehor in Uhunmwode local government has commenced test-running, a month
to the official commissioning by President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The State Deputy-Governor, Chief Mike
Oghiadomhe while inspecting fruit juice processing method from the slashing of
the raw pineapple to the treatment and packaging of the product stated that the
test-run would be a continuous process until it was fully operational.
While expressing delight over the
test-run, Oghiadomhe directed that whatever inadequacies that may have been
observed be corrected and perfected.
He further directed the food technologist
of Aluan Branch Company, Dr. Ramana Govin to make necessary amendments to
ensure the natural free flow of production process.
Conducting the deputy-governor round the
facility, Dr. Govin explained fruit juice processing method.
With the deputy governor on the visit was the state
commissioner for works and transport, Engr. Adolphus Ojobo and other government
officials.
