2007: Atiku Represents Continuity - Group By Agha Ibiam The expected benefits to both the economy and polity from the painful reform policies of the President Olusegun Obasanjo administration can only be realised by a subsequent government of continuity represented by Vice President Atiku Abubakar. This position was expressed over the weekend by the national co-ordinator of Network 2007 Atiku for President, Alhaji Zannah Mustapha, during the body's courtesy call on Ndigo Lagos Council of Ezes, the cultural platform representing Igbo speaking communities in Lagos. "Most of the policies of the present administrations are very excruciating in the short term and there benefits to both the economy and the polity can only be realised in the long run and oly a government of continuity will guarantee this," he stated. Holding that the Network 2007 Atiku for President strongly believed that the country's nascent democracy could best be sustained only if Nigerians chose a patriotic, dedicated and committed citizen who is a core civilian as leader come 2007, he said Atiku is the best candidate. "You would agree with me that it is high time we put an end to recycling of past military leaders in our polity. Atiku's score card cannot be matched," Mustapha said.
