'Why ANLCA Has Poor Image' From Okon Bassey in Port Harcourt The battered image and dwindled influence suffered by the Association of Nigerian Licensed Cus-toms Agents (ANLCA) has been blamed on bad leadership. The Director of Joe-Eboje International Agencies Ltd., Dr. Joe Ehimuan, made this observation while declaring intent to contest for the post of the National President of the body following the dissolution of its interim administration. Addressing stakeholders in the maritime industry of the Eastern zone Port Harcourt, weekend, Ehimuan said ANLCA presently needed somebody who could move the association forward to the level it rightly belong. "Our association is a sinking boat for now, but I want to say that all hope is not lost, because I have what it takes to salvage the association once I come on board," he declared. The director argued that members needed somebody who could propel the association to an enviable position so that the body would aslo command influence like top rated associations in the country, saying he had studied the situation on ground and therefore decided to come for rescue of ANLCA. The association's presidential aspirant added that his major assignment on assumption of office would be to tackle the issue of the dissident groups in the association, hinting that before he even make up his mind to run for the exalted office of the body.
