Group Charges Ekiti on Devt An Ibadan-based political group known as Commi-ttee of Friends has implored Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State to speed up completion of N1 billion Poultry project going on in the state. The group led by its Chairman, Mr. Femi Alawode, spoke with newsmen in Ibadan weekend, adding that it visited several project sites embarked on by the Fayose administration, particularly the poultry project purposely for the members to see for themselves what they have read and heard of governor's achievements. Alawode, a lawyer, said his group was formed to monitor developments in Ekiti State vis-�-vis 2007 and to advise government where necessary. Shedding more light on the group, Alawode observed that his group presently was not concerned about contesting in 2007 elections, rather "we want to give maximum cooperation to government in power in Ekiti State to develop the state." Commending Fayose for justifying the mandate given him by the Ekitis, Alawode advised him not allow distractions to make him lose focus, saying he would be judged by what he contributed to uplift the state and not the amount of press statements issued against by opponents.
