Nigerians Tasked on Corruption From Toba Suleiman in Abeokuta Ogun State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Niran Malaolu, has charged Nigerians to tackle the scourge of corruption which is giving the country a negative image. Malaolu spoke at Ogun State Civil Society Forum, organized by the Justice, Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) Catholic Diocese of Ijebu-Ode. He described the judiciary, Law Enforcement Agencies, the Media and an active Society as major components that can transform any society into a vibrant environment. Malaolu pointed out that the collaborative efforts of members of these responsible bodies as well as the entire populace were indispensable factors that contribute immensely to National Development. While responding to questions, the Commissioner said it was about time people started appreciating human and natural endowments, which God had deposited in Africa. The commissioner who pointed out that Africa was endowed to rule the world, expressed the need for people to cooperate and support Governor Gbenga Daniel's administration to facilitate smooth Implementation of more people-oriented programmes in the State. According to Malaolu, the interest of the administration under Daniel was for the well being of the entire citizens. He pointed out that the emergence of Daniel had infused a breath of fresh air into governance and also made people the centrepiece of developmental efforts of government in the state.
