'Life Without Christ Is Crisis'
Ogun
Mothers have been urged to let Jesus into their lives, in order to breed a very disciplined, honest responsible family, because life without Christ is crisis.
In the same vein, they were also enjoined to be role models to their children and the society in order to allow Christ to meet them at every point of their needs with absolute security and confidence.
These remarks were contained in the sermon of Rev Pastor Joseph Akintola at the Funeral Service at the First Baptist Church, Isensi, Ijebu-Ife, Ogun State, for Mrs. Christina Tinuola Odulana, the widow of late Barrister E. Omo-Odulana, nee Osisami of the Tirosogun area of Ijebu-Ife, Ogun State.
Akintola berated those parents who abandoned their responsibilities to the society at the expense of their family's discipline and successful growth in life.
The Cleric enjoined parents to foster the love and unity among the family at all times, in order to bequeath an enduring legacy after their demise.
He urged parents to please concentrate on the discipline and responsibility of the family, so that Nigeria would be an egalitarian society were no man is oppressed, but that Nation, we would all be proud of at all times.
Akintola said it behaved on all parents that early education of their children, coupled with good religious and moral discipline, should be their ultimate so that they would have peace of the mind, better and greater tomorrow.
the Cleric therefore urged the privileged, to please reach out to the poor and make life very meaningful to them, the society and the church.
He enjoined those in attendance, to please demonstrate the best virtues of Jesus Christ in them positively, so that they could win more souls for him. Because life and position are very ephemeral, it is as such, therefore very pertinent, that they must be exemplary and transparently honest in all things of life.
The Pastor reiterated on the need for the best divine rest which could only be obtained from God. Therefore he pleaded with the gathering to please trust their lives and whatever belongs to them to him and receive his wonders, miracles and blessings, as manifested in the life and times of Mrs. Christina Tinuola Odulana, who spent all her life to the absolute service of God and mankind.
