This review is part of 15-point terms of reference given to the PDP Reform Committee in Abuja yesterday by its national chairman, Chief Audu Ogbeh. Inaugurating the 35-member reform committee headed by Alhaji Iro Dan Musa, Chief Ogbeh charged it to pay special attention to the vexed issue of presidential aides, and ministers as automatic delegates to convention. Ogbeh noted that issue required attention given the fact that it "has generated debate and even litigation". The committee is also to determine campaign timing and review the current screening process of candidates seeking political office on the platform of the party. In addition, the committee was charged to establish a strong code of conduct for members and the establishment of a code of conduct committee for the party and propose ways by which the party can enforce its manifesto and ideology through its elected public officers".
