Fielding questions at the national secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), yesterday, Governor Egwu said that Governor Chris Ngige was still taking part in the peace process. Egwu noted that contrary to speculations Gov. Ngige has not backed out of the negotiations adding that they have made some progress. Egwu speaks: "How can he back out when he even called me two days ago asking me of the date for the next meeting, he has not backed out. He said that the crisis will be "satisfactorily resolved. Crises or conflicts when they reach certain level, they do not just end by one day’s meeting. Reaching to the call of Governor Achike Udenwa of Imo State that for the crisis to be resolved, the warring parties should return to the Owerri Accord, Egwu said that the governor was entitled to his personal opinion.
