THE Emir of Kano Alhaji (Dr.) Ado Bayero has
called on the federal government of Nigeria to complete the Kano
International Trade Fair Complex.
The emir, who made the call over the weekend
when he visited the venue of the ongoing 25th Kano International Trade Fair,
noted that the government has since provided befitting trade fair complexes
in other places that are by far better than that of Kano which is better in
terms of commerce and trade.
Alhaji Bayero said if the federal government
could hasten the completion of the abandoned project, a boost could be given
to commercial activities in the state.
He hoped that the government would, before the
commencement of next years fair, complete the project in order to assist
Kano to maintain its position as the ancient commercial nerve centre since
the sub-Saharan trade period.
The emir who briefed newsmen, expressed
happiness with what he saw at the fair, adding that trade fairs are very
significant all over the world, hoping that such fairs would continue to be
organized to attract more investors into the country.
He prayed for Allahs guidance to the
organizers of the fair, wishing them a fruitful hosting.

during the occasion for peace and stability to reign permanently in the
country.

of Kano Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA),

praying to Allah for abundant health to the emir.

visited about 15 pavilions at the fair with Kano and Yobe states, pavilions
as his first and second ports of call respectively.
