A WHITE paper on the circumstances that led to mass burial at Tudun Wada Cemetery in Kaduna metropolis and the death of a boy during the strike called by the NLC last month, will soon be released as disclosed by the Kaduna state governor, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Makarfi.

He explained that the event in question has been of concern not just to people within the state but beyond, because according to him, the suspicions and mistrust which surrounding the mass burial by whoever did it, either police or local authorities is still fresh in peoples memory.

He hoped that the committees work would ascertain who did what under what circumstances not that such burials are not common or new.

Governor Makarfi also assured that his administration would carefully study the report and its recommendations as he applauded the efforts of the committee for working within a month even though the work was not easy.

Earlier, the chairman of the committee Alhaji Usman Farouk had said that the committee has received 29 memoranda and oral testimonies as well 40 evidences from witnesses.

He acknowledged the efforts of the public that made the work challenging, hoping that the state government would implement the recommendations they forwarded.

Alhaji Farouk also thanked Governor Makarfi for the confidence reposed in them to carry out the delicate assignment and submitted 30 copies of the report and five vedio cassettes to the governor.
