MONDAY , DECEMBER, 6, 2004           LG pension board organises workshop for DPMS KANO state Local Government Pension Board may soon organise a workshop for all Directors Personnel Management (DPM�s) staff management and staff officers of local governments. According to a press release signed by the board�s PRO, Malam Sani Tukur, the Executive Secretary of Local Government Pension Board, Alhaji Habibu Sulaiman Zakirai has already requested the approval of ministry for local government to organise such a workshop. Alhaji Zakirai stated this during the inauguration of the pension board members, stressing that the workshop is highly needed at this material time in order to alleviate the suffering of pensioners and staff. The workshop, he added will facilitate and help actualise the speculated time mentioned for payments in addition to averting the problems of missing documents in files, till the retirement of any staff. Earlier, in his response, the commissioner for local government, Alhaji Abdullahi Sani Rogo had assured that the workshop would be approved as soon as the request is made.
