MONDAY , DECEMBER, 6, 2004           Billital Maroobe impressed by Kano�s nomadic education system Kano state government has been commended for its effort in strengthening nomadic education in the state. The commendation was made by the leader of Billital Moroobe, an association of nomads comprising membership from three West African countries of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger Republic Malam Diyalo Zakariya�u during a courtesy visit to the management of State Primary Education Board (SPEP). A press release signed by Amina Umar, the Chief Public Relations Officer of the board, said the leader of the delegation told to the Executive Chairman of the board that their mission to Kano amongst others, was to study the nomadic education�s set-up and other related areas for the benefit of its members. He also pointed out that the association�s aims and objectives are designed towards improving the social status of Fulani nomads and their children. Malam Zakariya�u further used the occasion to thank the management of the board for the warm reception and hospitality given to its members during their five day visit to the state, adding that the wealth of experience they gathered in Kano has inspired them and would serve as a tool to put pressure on their various home countries for better improvement of their members�. Responding, the Excutive Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Adamu Iliyasu Dal, expressed delight with the visit and expressed the hope that the association would forge ahead and expand beyond the West African sub region to all parts of Africa. Alhaji Dal pledged them support and assurance in addition all necessary assistance and information required for the improvement of nomads� children.
