Ekiti Pledges Enabling Environment for Investors

Ekiti State Government has promised to continue to provide an enabling environment for investors in the state, to enhance its economic development. Governor Ayodele Fayose gave the indication in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, during the official opening of the 16th Joint Odua Trade Fair hosted by the state. Fayose described the hosting of the fair as historic, adding that it was the beginning of greater success in the state. He said infrastructures at the complex would be well maintained, and assured that more facilities, including a 30-room hotel and recreation centre would be provided at the complex to ensure its optimal and efficient utilisation. He assured participants of adequate security of lives and property at the complex. Commissioning the Trade Fair complex, Governor Fayosethanked all stakeholders, including EKICIMA, Commerce and Industry Ministry, among others, for their efforts, and congratulate them on the success of the occasion. Earlier, Commissioner of Commerce, Industries, Cooperatives and Tourism, Elder Samuel Kayode, had commended Fayose for enhancing infrastructural development of the state and putting the state on track for industrialisation. Kayode thanked government for releasing N43 million for the development of the complex and charged Ekiti indigenes and non-indigenes, as well as corporate investors and multi national companies to utilise the abundant mineral and forest resources in the state. He stated the readiness of the state government to go into partnership with intending investors on the development of the tourist potentials of the state, including Ikogosi Warm Spring, among others.
