WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2004           Tension brews in Gumi over Maibuhu�s released From FAROUK ADAMU YAKASAI, Gusau TENSION is no brewing in Gummi town of Zamfara State over the alleged release of the Salihu Maibuhu Gumi by the police who was hauled before a chief magistrate court in Gusau for conspiracy and muder. Alhaji Maibuhu Gumi was arraign before the court along with his sister when two decomposed Bodies of teenagers were found in his garage in Gumi town. Finding by Daily Triumph revealed that though the two suspects were charged to court and the judge ordered them to be remanded in prison ??? dependable sources revealed that the businessman was as free as the air. In reaction to the alleged release of the suspects by the police the town of Gummi has been tensed up with residents lamenting the inaction of the police to ensure justice to the ten afe boys. In a statement by concerned citizens of Gumi town signed by a notable figure in the emirate, Alhaji Ahmad Bala Gumi and made available to Daily Triumph they expressed concern of the people in the town. �on behalf of the concerned citizens of Gumi town in Zamfara state I wish to humbly appealed to the inspector General of police Mr. Tafa Balogon to ensure that the conspiracy and muder charges levelled against Alhaji Salihu Maibuhu Gummi and his sister Rakiya is fully investigated. �This is to ensure that justice is seen to be done in the case. We are appealing that, it should be logically be concluded. we are apprehensive sequel to certain distressing development since the trial began. We the concerned people of Gumi were compelled to make this passionate pleat to Mr. Tafa Balogun as even currently the suspects had been released.
