Falomo Hails Lagos, Judiciary
By Muyiwa Adeyemi
In his reaction, Dr Ore Falomo congratulated the Lagos State government and the people of the state for its steadfastness to God till the day of judgment.
According to him, "there are lessons to learn from this judgement. First, the Federal Government has always behaved as if it could not make mistakes and sees its pronouncements as infallible and best for the country.
"Some of us know that this is far from the truth because President Olusegun Obasanjo surrounds himself with few honest people. The action of the Federal Government up till now is not only a punishment to the Lagos State government but to the whole of the people of the state. It is uncalled for, unjust and ungodly."
Falomo said that even when it was obvious that Lagos State deserved more local governments than what it created, the Federal Government still tried to frustrate the state even when some states with lesser population have double the number of councils.
He also congratulated the Supreme Court for having "the courage to stand on the side of justice and equity."
