Yes No Indifferent View results Eschew Violence, Obasanjo's Daughter Charges Nigerians From Juliana Taiwo in Abuja, 12.11.2004 Daughter of President Olusegun Obasanjo, Mrs. Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello, has charged Nigerians to eshew violence and live in peace and unity, devoid of any acrimony. She gave this charge at the investiture and award night organised by Association of Former Local Government Chairmen and Councillors in Nigeria (AFLOG). Obasanjo-Bello, who was one of the recipients, said she had decided to work relentlessly for the growth and development of the country as well as make positive contribution to nation-building. She stressed that she has rededicated her life to national service and would do more to contribute to the development of the nation. Obasanjo-Bello, who is also Ogun State Commissioner of Health while expressing delight in the honour done her, said "it is a valuable honour and I feel elated and this would also accelerate me to do more to the nation.” The President's daughter received an award for humility in service and national development, which the organisers explained was given to her for her exemplary character and kind disposition.
