Yes No Indifferent View results FCT Promotes 588 Staff From Andy Ekugo in Abuja, 12.11.2004 Ministry of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) yesterday announced that 588 officers of the ministry have been promoted in line with the civil service reforms. The promotion, according to Engineer M. Alhassan, the Coordinating Executive Secre-tary, Federal Capital Develop-ment Authority (FCDA), who announced it on behalf of the Minister, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai,  is the “other side of the coin” of the recent rightsizing exercise in which many staff were either retired or retrenched. Among those promoted are two Acting Directors who were upgraded as Directors.  They were J. A. Maimagani,  Director of Administration and Supplies and K. A. Hussaini, Director of Maintenance. Others include Assistant Directors who were heading their agencies but had been promoted to the rank of Deputy Directors. They were however to act as Directors. They were Hajia Hadiza Abdullahi, Acting Director AEPB, A. S Lulu, Ag. Director Sports Council, Ike A.C Ag. Director Ag. Director Urban and Regional Planning, H. Oloja Ag. Director Legal Services, Isah Shuaibu Ag. Director Parks and Recreation and F.A. Esekhile Ag.
