NAFRC Courses Are NBTE Accredited – Commandant

Commandant of Nigerian Armed Forces Resettle-ment Centre (NAFRC), Air Vice Marshal E. D. Aquaisua, has said courses run at the centre were all accredited by National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). Speaking at this year's passing-out ceremony of NAFRC personnel yesterday in Lagos, Air Force chief called on various establishments in the country to adequately make use of NAFRC graduates. His words: "The training offered by NAFRC, Oshodi, lays a strong foundation on skills acquisition that equip the trainees for productive self-employment. All these are aimed at preparing them psychologically to enjoy a productive and fulfilling post service life. "In pursuance of these laudable objectives, the trainees are usually seconded to various industrial and farm establishments throughout the country for practical experience in their trades. This programme, otherwise known as Industrial Training Scheme, has been of tremendous benefits to the trainees. I wish to use this opportunity to thank the various establishments for their corporation and support. We also call on them to adequately make use of the NAFRC graduates as most of our courses are accredited by the National Board for Technical Education." Aquaisua stated that during the course, some seminars and lectures were conducted in order to expose the centre and the trainees to the latest resettlement strategies. The commandant urged the graduands to adequately utilised the skills and knowledge they acquired during the course of their training so that they could be more useful to themselves, families, and the nation at large. He implored them to remain loyal to the Federal Government and continue to be credible ambassadors of the centre and the Nigerian Armed Forces. "You are also expected to register as members of the Nigerian Legion in your respective states to enable you acquaint yourselves with current police matters affecting your welfare," he stated.
