FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2004           Fuel crisis: KNSG implored to intervene By BALA ABUBAKAR A politician in Dala local government area, Malama Habiba Usman Gwammaja, has appealed to Kano state government to urgently address the current problems regarding petroleum products in the state. The ANPP supporter who spoke to our correspondent in an exclusive interview said if urgent measures were not taken by government to address the situation, many people would suffer the consequences. The politician who blame the independent marketers association for the increase in the price of the product, however appealed to the authority and the state government to alleviate the suffering of the people across the state by doing sothing on the issue. Malama Habiba decribed governor Ibrahim Shekarau's government as a responsive one. She observed that as a result of the strike action embarked by tanker drivers association, many people across the state have to abandoned their responsibilities. A situation where a gallon of petrol was sold at N1,000 as against N340 the politician said was pathetic and called on the government to address the situation.
