FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2004           JGSG commended for drug revolving fund THE Jigawa state government has been commended for the opening of Drugs Revolving Fund ( DRF) in some selected hospitals and health centers in the state. The Disrtrict head of Babura, Sarkin Bai of Ringim, Alhaji Gadi Mustapha, made the remarks while speaking to our reporter over the weekend. He said the introduction of the programme will go along way in allowing the less privileged patients purchase qualitative drugs at affordable prices. Alhaji Hadi Mustpaha called on the government to open a similar programme at Babura general hospital due to the high rate of patients that visit the hospital daily. The district head also called for the opening of a health care programme entitled" LAFIYA JARI" which caters for ante-natal cases especially among pregnant and nursing mothers in order to benefit from its services. He expressed satisfaction with the impressive turn out of children during the just concluded immunization exercise in the area. The Sarkin Bai directed all village and ward heads under his domain to embrace and mobilize their subjects on all government policies and programmes in view of its great importance.
