FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2004           Kaloma Ali dies at 70 THE death has occurred of former minister of solid minerals, Barrister Kaloma Ali (SAN) in Maiduguri the capital of Borno state after a prolonged illness last Sunday. Lawyer Kaloma died at the age of 70, leaving behind one wife, seven children and many grand children, sisters and brothers. Among his children are Alhaji Abba Ali Kaloma, a lawyer and businessman, Alhaji Matawalle Ali Kaloma, a businessman and Lawyer Binta Ali Kaloma. Among the early callers at the residence of the deceased were Justice Mamman Nasir, minister of justice in the former Northern region, Lt-Colonel Abubakar Zakariya Maimalari (rtd) who was one time military governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Ismaila Gwarzo, former National Security Adviser and many important dignitaries from different walks of life. Late Alhaji Ali Kaloma (SAN) has since been buried in accordance to Islamic rites.
