FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2004           National U-20 team: NFA invites 38 to camp Harther Berlin striker Solomon Okoronkwo and Italy-based Chukwu Isa are among 38 players invited by the NFA today to the national U-20 team for trials. The camp will open on December 5 for the players who will jostle for shirts as a build-up to the African Youth Soccer Championship. A list of the players released by the Glass House included three other foreign-based mid-fielders and attackers - Robert Collins (Italy), Nduka Nwanne and Bernard Okorowanta both based in Israel. Other home-based players included goalkeepers Ambrose Vanzekin, Daniel Akpeyi, Kola Ige, and Haliru Sani. Chinwo Kennedy, Taye Taiwo, Johnbull Ediki, Apam Onyekachi, Monday James, Dele Adeleye, Ebere Obinze and Valentine Nwaneili will all fight for positions in the defence. In the mid-field, Bazuaye Daddy, Kola Anobi, Emeka Ojiafor, Mickel Obi, Joseph Emmanuel, Akani Olusegun, Abwo David, Sylvester Francis, Ogbonna Abosi and Yinka Adedeji will contest for shirts. Others in the position are Sani Kaita, Rasheed Alabi, Sheriff Quadri, Obinna Nsofor, and Paul Obiefule. Benedict , Avi Paker and Emman Ogoli.
