FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2004           Police urged to investigate U/Gaya murder SOME concerned citizens of Unguwar Gaya in Nassarawa local government area of Kano state, have appealed to Kano commissioner of police to investigate the murder of one Malam Hussaini Unguwar Gaya. The deceased according to sources was murdered by an unknown gang, while on a surveillance on the night of the incidence in the area. A relation of the deceased who spoke to our correspondent on Monday, said his brother was brutally killed by some youths in the area about a week ago. Our correspondent however learnt that late Malam Hussaini was the leader of the vigilante group before that fateful day. The deceased�s brother Malam Hassan Unguwar Gaya, confirmed to our reporter that about six youths engaged the deceased to a fight on the day of the incidence and inflicted severe injuries on him and fled the area. He said immediately the people alerted the police, he was rushed to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) where he died. The relations however appealed to the commissioner of police to investigate the murder and arrest the culprits to ensure that justice is done.
