FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2004           Rehabilitate Manga market road, Babura urged BABURA local government council of Jigawa state, has been urged to rehabilitate the road linking to Manga market in view of its great importance. The councillor representing Takwasa ward in the area, Alhaji Gambo Musa Takwas, made the plea while speaking to our reporter. He said when rehabilitated the road will increase the revenue generation drive of the local government and enhance socio-economic activities of the people of the area and Jigawa state at large. Honourable Gambo Takwasa commended all the 10 polling units under his constituency for executing viable projects that would improve their welfare, with the funds given to them by the government. These projects according to the councillior, included the rehabilitation of 4 kilometer road linking Manga-Takwasa, drilling of new open and concrete wells, renovation of various mosques and Islmaiyya schools and the purchase of plot to be converted to grave yards. Alhaji Gambo Musa said plans are on to contribute money by all the polling units under his jurisdiction to purchase furnitures to the newly established junior secondary school Takwasa to create a conducive atmosphere for learning. The councillor commended the Jigawa state government for the prompt release of money to all polling units across the state and hoped the tempo would be maintained.
