FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2004           Saraki to present Kwara SEEDS document at summit GovERNOR Bukola Saraki will formally present the Kwara State Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (KWASEEDS) document at the state economic summit scheduled for December. 14 and 15. Briefing newsmen in Ilorin on the summit, the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Salman Ibrahim, said the underlying philosophy was to use the SEEDS document to reverse the fortunes of the state positively. Ibrahim, who is also the chairman of the summit's central planning committee, said ``the document is intended to serve as a vehicle for the implementation of the various economic reforms of the present administration''. He said the summit would provide participants, expected from within and outside Nigeria, the opportunity to evolve strategies for rapid socio-economic development of Kwara, using the SEEDS document as a focal point. ``The vision of KWASEEDS is to make Kwara State one of Nigeria's most progressive and prosperous states,'' the government secretary added. He explained that the action plan that would come out of the summit would be used in selling Kwara to local and foreign investors toward the socio-economic development of the state.
