Obasanjo made this assertion while speaking at the weekend in Owu-Kute in Aiyedire Local Government Area of Osun State during the celebration of the 13th national convention of Owu saying his reforms would soon be appreciated by all Nigerians. “The yearnings and aspirations of the common man have become a guiding principle in our determination of making life bearable for the masses and not to compound them. We are not discouraged, once we start doing good work, initially, people will react against our decisions. Whether they like it or not, we won’t turn back. Truth will always prevail. Obasanjo said as a true son of Owu, it was typical of him to always be guided by the spirit of truth. “It is typical of an Owu indigene that the blood to do good always flows in your vein. We are not selfish and we are always in the side of the truth, he stressed.” In his speech, President of the National Council of Owu people, Doja Adewolu said the unity of Owu people is worthy of emulation. Also, Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola urged Nigerians to continue to support President Obasanjo in his effort to enhance the economy and make life more worthwhile for Nigerians.     Copyright� 2004.
