French envoy visits language Village
FRANCE'S Ambassador to Nigeria will today pay a day working visit to the Nigeria's French Language Village, Badagry, Lagos State.
This will be the second of such visits to the French Language Village since the inception 13 years ago.
It is on record that over 300 Nigerian students had through the village benefited from the embassy's short time scholarship in, Lome Toge.
In the area of manpower development, the French government has trained five academic staff of the village up to the Ph.D level in French, while seven others are currently undergoing course areas of French studies in France.
The envoy's visit is expected to strengthen the long existing mutual co-operation between the embassy and the village, which is geared towards the promotion of the teaching and learning of French in Nigeria and the entire sub-region.
