Yes No Indifferent View results PDP Plans Mayhem, AD Alleges From Hammed Shittu in Osogbo, 12.13.2004 Osun State chapter of Alliance for Democracy, (AD) has alerted that the ruling PDP in the state is set to unleash mayhem on its members that show any solidarity to the incarcerated members of the party facing trial at an Osogbo magistrate court. Two cheiftains of the party, former SSG, Chief Sola Akinwumi, and finance commissioner, Lere Adebayo alongside a consultant, Lanre Oladeji are  facing trial for the N126million fraud allegedly perpetrated in the construction of the Bola Ige House. According to the party, in  a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Wednesday,  the ruling PDP is mobilising  thugs to attack AD supporters that venture to go to the court premises. "Osun AD reliably gathered that a meeting of Osun PDP local government Party chairmen was called to discuss modalties to be adopted by the PDP in fomenting trouble on the next adjourned date which is today. "Osun AD will want to affirm our continued desire to show to our leaders in this period of political victimisation they are  undergoing.  Osun State belongs to all of us" Signed by the party's chairman, Moshood Adeoti, and its Publicity Secretary, Adejare Adebisi,he warned that "under no guise will Osun AD allow itself to be cowed so that PDP will be able to carry out its blind desire of perverting justice and punishing the innocent to achieve political goals". AD alleges that the trial was orchestrated to "tarnish the hard earned reputation of our leaders and thus bring our party to public ridicule" however assured that the trial would be an avenue for the duo to clear their names.
