MONDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2004           Respect people�s religion, culture, NYSC director counsels corps members THE Kano state director of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Chief Emmanuel A.S.D, has urged NYSC members serving in the state to respect the people�s religion and culture in the area of their service in order to have a better and peaceful nation. The director made the call at Bichi local government when addressing the local council during his visit in continuation of his familiarisation tour to the state local government areas. Chief Obi pointed out that no corp member could discharge his or her function peacefully without expecting the people�s religion, culture and mode of their living urging them to reciprocate the council gesture by living in peace and understanding through participating in the society activities. The state director of the NYSC then appealed to the council to maintain their assistance, understanding and cooperation to the corps members and appealed to the council to provide more security to the corps members. Responding on behalf of the chairman, the council vice chairman, Alhaji Sabo Aliyu Saye, commended the state NYSC for visiting the local government to familiarised with the council executives and also for the overall condition of the corps members. Alhaji Saye, then reiterated the council commitment to continue working with the corps members and assist them for the best interest and the development of Bichi local government.
