MONDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2004           Ensure Success of Census in your domain, council told THE need for Kumbostso local government council to ensure success of the forthcoming national census in its domain has been stressed. Special adviser on intergovernmental affairs to the state governor, Alhaji Yusuf Abdullahi Attah, made the call while addressing councils of the area in his visit to the local government areas. Alhaji Abdullahi Attah, then spoke at length the importance of the population census towards socio-economic and political developments, advised people to cooperate fully in the exercise. The special adviser also explained that it was part of his visit to inspect some abandoned projects being executed by federal and state governments for possible completion, advised councils to provide a comprehensive list of such projects to his office. In his respond the council chairman Malam Sagiru Abdulkadir Panshekara who spoke through his deputy Alhaji Yusif Bature Adamu, expressed satisfaction with visit. He also enumerate some of the abandoned projects in the area, that include construction of road from Tamburawa to Kwanar Duga, western bye-pass road and the dry port zone. Later questions and answer session was held to serve as interaction between the councils and people of the area.
