MONDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2004           Councillor wants JGSG complete G/Uku  electrification A passionate appeal has been made to the Jigawa state government to expediate action toward the completion of Gari Uku electrification the project which was started about two years ago. The councillor representing Muduri/Bule ward in Babura local government area of Jigawa state, Alhaji Isyaku Ibrahim Maishanu Gari-Uku made the call while speaking to our reporter at his residence. He said the call became imperative in view of its great importance to the socio-economic life of the people. Hon. Isyaku Ibrahim said when completed the project will allow businessmen to set up small scale industries and create jobs opportunities to the teeming unemployed persons. The councillor further called on the government to construct a feeder road from Gari-Uku to Mudurin-Gadi in order to minimize the hardships being encountered by the people. He said the money given to polling units cannot do these two giant projects because they're capital intensive. Honourable Isyaku Maishanu, also called on Babura local government council to assist in completing the ongoing mosque construction embarked upon by the Muduri polling unit. The councillor expressed satisfaction for the impressive performances of all 12 polling units in his ward towards the execution of various developmental projects and urged them to keep it up.
